Rob Ford

Grade 8-2 Home Room English

This is my 23rd year teaching in Red Deer Catholic which began many years ago at St. Thomas. I am very excited to be teaching with old friends and new students at EMTS this year and look forward to help direct the Performing Arts at this school. 2020/2021 sees me taking up the role of a  grade 8 Humanities teacher for all of the English classes as well as all of the drama for the school. Teaching children has been a passion for almost 30 years as I have worked with special needs children in Saskatchewan, and was a wrestling, canoeing and archery instructor for many years out there before moving to Alberta.

I have two wonderful children aged 18 and 20 who are moving onto the next stages of their lives in Saskatchewan at University and who I am incredibly proud of. Most weekends will find me fighting in historical western martial arts throughout Canada and the States and I have the privilege to be recognized as a master teacher there. I am very involved with educational medieval re-enactment groups and if you ever have a desire to know more-please feel free to contact me.
