Letter from Father Les regarding the Catholic website FORMED

February 2021

My Dear Friends:

In this time of COVID-19 when so many people are bunkering down in their homes and feeling isolated, we have been searching for ways to bring the Catholic spirituality into the homes of our parishioners.  We think that we have found something that is good.  It is a program called FORMED.  We feel that this program can be of great use to us after the time of this pandemic as well.

FORMED is a Catholic website with all kinds of programs including faith formation, speaker presentations, Bible studies, sacramental teachings, movies (including those for the children), audiobooks, youth programs and presentations that deal with current topics of interest.  Some programs are also available in the Spanish language.

Our parish has already purchased a one-year subscription.  Therefore, there is no cost to our parishioners to use this service.  To sign in, this is the process:

Begin in the URL bar or the search engine by typing in the words:

Click on ENTER

Click on Sign-Up

Click on Sign-Up as a parishioner

Search for our parish under the heading of “Our Lady Sylvan Lake” or “Our Lady” and then find Sylvan Lake from the selection boxes.

Click NEXT

Type in your name and your email address and then you can enter.

We also want to invite you to think about joining other parishioners for an on-line faith-sharing program from FORMED.  If a Men’s group or a Bible study or a Lent study or something else interests you, send an email to   to say that you would like to know more about this possibility.

If computers are a problem for you, then you can ask another parishioner for help or you can contact Kathy Inglis at (403) 396-5811.  Kathy can also be contacted through the email address shown in the paragraph above.

Please give this a TRY.  Hopefully, this service will bring us closer to the Lord, to each other and help us to grow in our faith.

Thank you and God bless.

Father Les Drewicki
