Amy Cunningham

Humanities Teacher/Literacy Support

My name is Amy Cunningham and I have been blessed to be part of the Ecole Mother Teresa School Community since 2014. I am truly passionate about connecting with kids and helping them to reach their full potential. Throughout my teaching career I have had the opportunity to teach a variety of subjects from kindergarten to grade 9, in several different schools throughout Central Alberta.  Helping students grow in their capacity as learners is truly an honour and I am thankful each and every day that I am able to support students in their educational journey.

My husband and I have a son and a daughter who attend St. Joseph’s High School in Red Deer.  As residents of Sylvan Lake we enjoy watching our children participate in extracurricular activities in the community and appreciate all that Sylvan Lake has to offer.

I enjoy time spent with family and friends, cooking, gardening, hiking and reading. In fact, I enjoy reading so much that I have been a member of the same book club for over 15 years.

Best wishes for an amazing school year filled with joyful learning and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like ideas to support your child’s reading at home.
